Slovak company succeeded in the first round of EIC Accelerator!

 

We are delighted in our great achievement! The PURITY THROUGH MINERALIZATION project, on which we are cooperating, achieved a rating GO in the first round of the EIC Accelerator and is advancing to the second round!

The EIC Accelerator scheme was introduced in our recent article. The main goal of EIC Accelerator is to identify and support the most groundbreaking innovations from Europe, with the potential of expanding to international level and become a leader in the world markets.

The IQ CAPITAL, s.r.o. is applying for a grant with the PURITY THROUGH MINERALIZATION project. In addition to our company BALTEUS, spol. s r.o., team of more than 20 people is working together, in cooperation with specialists from Technical University of Košice and Comenius University in Bratislava.

The project deals with degradation of viruses and pathogens on molecular level up to the mineralization phase, creating new “clean” air molecules. This solution creates completely new technological practices based on effective synergy of several processes in an innovative reactor, which can be used in many more areas. The key aspect of this solution is effective synergy of cold plasma and photocatalysis in a real environment – without the production of ozone and other undesirable gasses or substances.

There is still a lot of work to do!

We registered short proposal of this project in EIC Accelerator a few weeks ago – it consisted of a 3-minutes video, a PITCH presentation of the project and answers to questions which summarize the proposal for innovation, potential markets, and the work team. These short projects proposals, which can also be called the first round of the grant application, were evaluated for a period 4 weeks by independent experts from European commission.

Successful projects, including PURITY THROUGH MINERALIZAION project, are then invited to complete in the coming months the feasibility study and business plan, which should confirm the interest and success in global market. If the project is successful in the second round (or the full project proposal is successful), the last step for obtaining the prestigious grant is presenting the project to the panel of investors and market experts from Europe.

Currently, the technologies and products are being presented in the Slovak pavilion at the exhibition EXPO Dubai 2021. The whole team is already working to ensure that the EXPO Dubai 2021 is not the highlight of this project. Thanks to their continuous work, the project can keep going forward and be successful, for example in the second round of EIC Accelerator, which is awaiting us in the upcoming months.
