
EIC projects | Sensoneo
You may have already heard about the Slovak Sensoneo project. Since 2018, Sensoneo is only the second Slovak company to receive an EIC Accelerator grant. It received more than 1.3 mil. EUR, which were allocated for the implementation of specific projects aimed at demonstrating the environmental and economic benefits of this smart solution. At the same time, the company also received an investment from the European Investment Fund in the amount of approximately 3 mil. EUR, thanks to which it accelerated its development and product availability practically worldwide.
Sensoneo is a provider of technological solutions for waste management. With this solution, they help to manage waste in cities and towns in dozens of countries around the world. Sensoneo combines waste monitoring, intelligent software for displaying and evaluating data – container filling prediction, collection efficiency evaluation, automation of optimal route planning and other functions. As a result, local governments are able to save up to 30% on waste collection costs, while reducing and significantly reducing the number of emissions that cities produce.
Sensoneo is an example of a project where a good, innovative and globally applicable idea can attract investors so much that it has no problem with financing. In addition to the aforementioned investments from EIC Accelerator and the European Investment Council Fund, it also received financing from Credo Ventures, Ysoft Ventures, Crowdberry, Sonoma Ventures and Slovak Investment Holding.
